We attend Shoreline Community Church in Monterey and meet weekly with a few other families to discuss God and books that help us understand God more. Shoreline calls these Growth Groups. Well, back in November, we were reading through a book by Mark Batterson called The Circle Maker. The book references how Israel circled Jericho for a week and then saw a miracle of God. The week prior to Thanksgiving, Doug, who is in my Growth Group and I decided to walk around Toro Park for a week and then seven times on the seventh day. We didn’t see any obvious miracles, but we did gain a burden for the families of Toro and a desire for God to draw their neighbors to Himself like He had done for us. You see, God has been working in both Doug and my life over the past year and helping us to trust in Him.

Circle Toro Park - The Genesis
Toro Park Estates is located 5 miles southwest of Salinas, CA along highway 68. Highway 68 is 4-lane till about midway past Toro Park Estates where it become 2-lane the remainder of the way to Monterey. This is where my family, Jackie, Matthew, Alissa and Jackson live.
